Fleche Buffoon Courses
The Fleche Buffoon offers 2 Hilly Courses: Long (ca 76 Miles) & Short (ca 62 Miles). Please note there are still sections of our legacy courses that are closed due to storm damage from Hurricane Ida; we are detouring around these.
Please note that the courses will not be marked, though some road marks from previous editions may still be visible. Also note there are a few places on the return leg that overlaps with the outbound leg. Stay alert as some GPS systems can get confused.
There is only 1 Aid Station on the courses at ca Mile 35, just before the courses split. However, the courses were designed to pass by several parks and stores where additional restrooms, water, and supplies are available. Many of these are noted on the official cue sheets and GPS Files
Pre-Registered participants will be provided with Official Cue Sheets, GPS Files, and free access to the Ride With GPS App via email, a few days before the event.
Please note that the courses are subject to change at anytime, without notice.
Riders may start “At-Will” any time after they check in, from 8:00AM through 8:45AM.
The courses officially close at 3:30PM. At this time all course services cease; any riders remaining on course will be without support. Post Ride Food & Drink service ends at 4:00PM. Riders who do not depart the aid station at the Upper Black Eddy Fire Company (ca mile 35) by noon are advised to take the short course to avoid being on the road after services end, and to best ensure that post ride food and drinks are available to them.
